CANCELLED: SCREENING & DISCUSSION | Earth

  • Embassy of Austria 3524 International Court Northwest Washington, DC, 20008 United States (map)

We are sorry to inform you that the upcoming screenings of the Austrian film “Earth” by Nikolaus Geyrhalter in Washington, DC, had to be cancelled. The film would have been shown as part of the official program of the Environmental Film Festival in the Nation's Capital (DCEFF) on March 17, 2020 and at a second screening at the Embassy of Austria on March 18. Since DCEFF has been cancelled due to concerns related to COVID-19 (Coronavirus), we have decided to postpone the screening at the Embassy of Austria to a later date.

We apologize for any inconvenience these short-notice changes might cause you and thank for your understanding and help to keep our community safe.

FROM THE DCEFF WEBSITE

Due to concerns related to COVID-19, the Environmental Film Festival in the Nation’s Capital is canceling all events scheduled for March 12-22, 2020.

We did not come to this decision lightly, but as the safety of our audience, local and out-of-town participants, volunteers, partners, and staff is our highest priority, we have determined that this was the only viable course of action to take.

We will be launching a “virtual” Festival next week, which will allow for select 2020 films to be viewed online. We will also host a smaller version of the Festival in the fall, which will feature the 2020 Award winners, among others. Other Festival screenings will also be planned for later in the year.

If you purchased tickets for any of our paid events, please seek a refund at your point-of-sale.

Thank you for your understanding and we will be in touch with more details soon. Please check our partner venues’ sites for additional information and/or please reach out to us at info@dceff.org with any questions.
