ONLINE: CONCERT | Trio Artio


TRIO ARTIO, who gave one of the last live performances at the Austrian Embassy last February, is back with an online concert, recorded at the Arnold Schönberg Center in Vienna on the occasion of the Women’s Month of March. But as we celebrate female artists throughout the whole year and not only in March, we decided to deliberately include them in our April program. Enjoy music composed by Clara Schumann, Lera Auerbach and Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, played by Judith Fliedl, Christine Roider and Johanna Estermann.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS

JUDITH FLIEDL | VIOLIN

Judith Fliedl, born in Carinthia, Austria, began her musical career as a six year old. After completing her Bachelor´s degree at the Mozarteum Salzburg with distinction, she is now a student at the University of Music in Graz. Additionally, the violinist is studying chamber music at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. Her work as a chamber and orchestral musician has won her already several prizes as well as exposure on renowned international stages, among others in France, the Netherlands, Italy, Korea, UK and the US.


CHRISTINE ROIDER | CELLO

Christine Roider began her cello studies at the Frankfurt University for Music and Performing Arts. After successfully completing her studies there in 2013, she started a Master´s degree at the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts. As a member of a number of ensembles and orchestras, Christine has performed in numerous European countries, as well as in South Africa, Japan, Thailand and the US. Christine frequently takes part in various music festivals and also performs regularly with the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Vienna Symphony Orchestra.


JOHANNA ESTERMANN | PIANO

Johanna Estermann, born in Innsbruck, Austria, took her first piano lesson at the age of six. She began her Bachelor degree in “Instrumental (Voice) Pedagogy” at the Mozarteum Salzburg while still attending school. After graduating with honors and obtaining a teaching qualification for piano and the organ, she took up a Master degree at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, where she is currently attending the postgraduate course “Piano Chamber Music”. Johanna performs extensively in various ensembles and has been heard in the US, Indonesia, China and Japan. This year she had her debut in the Wiener Musikverein.
